Tutorial: Using VB to launch files from the Flash projector
(Step 4)
Finally, use FS Command Exec to call the executable you've created.
The executable launches invisibly, so as far as your end user is
concerned, the projector appears to launch the file. And remember,
with the security settings that prevent Flash from running malicious
code, you're going to have to place the executable in a folder called
fscommand that is a subdirectory directly below the projector.
For
all of you who don't have VB, I have a version of this that will
allow you to use it and edit it. So, you too have one good, free
way of launching files from the projector. Get
it here.
