Tutorial: Resolving the dreaded Red X when embedding Macromedia
Flash inside of a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation (Step 4)
In short, there are any number of wacky things that can occur to
cause the dreaded red X. As with any Windows platform, it's always
a good idea to reboot and try again before giving up hope. If you've
encountered a situation that you can't correct, feel free to visit
