Nice Flash, even nicer fonts
I loathe virtual worlds on Web sites, even if they are well coded. Sometimes the best examples from which to draw inspiration are those which you don't like.
Great interface, pixely yet deceivingly straightforward.
Another striking illustrator auf Deutsch.
I have a strange fascination for sites written in languages other than English. I think it's because the understanding of the navigation either transcends the language barrier or falls completely flat.
While the design of this is nice, the usability borders on offensive. If I have to wait for a download, I don't want to be told what to do once I get there. Nor do I want to only have one option of what to do. Give me arty psycho navigation Flash sites any day, if this is the other option.
Ouch. Great use of minimal space.
You know what I always say about Flash and photographers? Well it seems to hold true for illustrators, as well.
For all its bells and whistles, I find the most impressive Flash sites are the ones where the content supercedes the delivery.
Yet another example of spectacular motion and transition aided, of course, by a faster processor.
There's something about typography when it is handled correctly.

I don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but photographers and Flash seem to be a really nice combination.
Cool scrolling effect and a nice way to see the merchandise. The shirts. I meant the shirts.

This site has moments of greatness and moments of usualness. All in all, well designed and worth trapsing through, if only to find the gems.
Clicky and pixely.
Tight animation, great motion and life to this one.
Great interface, great motion.
Lot's of little tasty portfolio pieces in this dirty little site.
Have I mentioned how well Flash and photography... What's that? Oh. Interesting interface here too.
Have I ever mentioned how Flash and photographers go together like... What's that? Oh I have? Silly me. I always repeat myself. In any case, here's another photography site that displays a splendid use of Flash.
I'll never cease to be amazed by simplicity.
I'm always a sucker for old school video game audio.
Another interesting interface for navigating photography. Watch for the plus (+) and the minus (-) to go forward and backward, respectively.
