Like this site, but it threw me a little that there was no back button of any sort. Not that you need it. Just used to working with that dynamic.
I think I'm usually about the last one in the world to hear about cutting-edge sites like this. So, because you, all knowing and always in the know, have already seen it, why not just click on the link to make me feel better?
Given the number of beautiful pieces for use, this site uses Flash to effectively cycle through the options. It makes for a more interactive experience, even for the passive observer.
It's not often that you see a corporate site take risks (no pun intended; you'll see once you visit) with both animation and humor. That's why this one is worth visiting.
This site seemed like I was using an old-school HTML frames page. For that alone, it was worth posting (but the work is really nice, too).
Simple, yet spunky.
The GUI takes a little getting used to, but give it a shot. Skaters are cool.
I could do this for hours.
Need I wax philosophic about my love for Second Story, again? Just check out the stuff from Second Story alum, Gabe Kean.
Another non-Flash entry, but this was so interesting, I knew you, gentle reader, would not mind my straying outside the scope of our arrangement.

Don't go see Magical Trevor. I mean it. His siren song will haunt you, all day. I speak from experience.

I always accidentally go to these guys when I mean to head to Gartner's G2. I'm always happy that I make that mistake.

Illustration driven and well composed. Yummy retro work.
This has got to be one of the coolest navigation concepts I've seen. Very windshield-wiper-esque in a very simple, clean, easy to use, good way.

Take a deep breath. Okay, go.
The folks over at Big Spaceship have a great collection of work, which has won them an incredible niche: movie sites. Take a look at their list of clients, and no doubt you'll find many of the movie sites that you love. And also Catwoman. But don't hold that against them.

This kind of takes you back to the egotism that was rampant during the dotcom days. While some of the content may be jam-packed with pure unadulterated hubris, the site--and the collective it represents--are conceptually interesting.
An incredibly nice collection of work that really gets to take center stage, thanks to a self minimizing nav system.
I like the tunes, but truly, it's the nav that kicks on this one. Especially the sound. I love that little poppy-clicky rollover.
Interesting transition technique for the imagery here. Sigh. I said, the transition technique was interesting. Geez.
Red is supposed to make you hungry. Seems to be working. I don't even really care where the Ultra Supper Club is. I just want to go eat there. Or maybe I'll just tool around their site as I eat. I don't know.
